Brookfield, Wis.-Based Mold Remediation Company Opens Clearwater Flagship

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Quality Remediation, a licensed mold remediation and disaster recovery company headquartered in Brookfield, Wis., today announced the opening of its newest office in Clearwater. Recognized as the firm’s flagship location in Florida, the office is intended to support long-term recovery efforts across the Tampa Bay region and Gulf Coast following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

According to the Florida Division of Emergency Management, nearly 49,000 households were impacted by flooding during Hurricane Helene, which made landfall as a Category 4 storm.

Hurricane Milton, arriving soon after, compounded existing damage, pushing full recovery timelines even further.

Local building departments, homeowners, and community groups were quickly overwhelmed by the scale of restoration needs after Hurricane Helene and then Hurricane Milton. Professional remediation resources proved scarce, leaving countless properties vulnerable to extensive, long-term structural and health risks. “Our teams arrived the day after Helene passed,” said Bob Richards, founder, president and CEO of Quality Remediation. “Amid back-to-back storms, we recognized immediately that untreated mold would pose one of the most serious, long-term threats to homes and businesses. Establishing Clearwater as our flagship location underscores our commitment to remain on the ground, offering specialized support for as long as it takes.”

Located at 1234 Court St., Suite B, the new Clearwater office serves Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Sarasota, Orange, Polk, and Citrus counties. Its 18-member team provides mold containment, flood damage restoration, and preventive treatments designed to safeguard public health and protect property values.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warns that unchecked mold growth can exacerbate respiratory issues such as asthma and allergies, particularly among older adults, children, and those with compromised immune systems.

Richards emphasized that rapid, professional intervention is critical when properties face prolonged flooding and water intrusion. Quality Remediation follows IICRC guidelines and employs advanced moisture-detection and air-filtration technologies to eradicate hidden mold colonies. “Timely action can mean the difference between manageable cleanup and years of ongoing repairs,” Richards said. “In the wake of two major storms, our goal is to ensure families and businesses can rebuild on a solid, healthy foundation.”

Founded in 1995, Quality Remediation has earned a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and client-centered service. Along with its new Clearwater flagship, the company maintains offices in Brookfield, Madison and Delafield, Wis.; Palatine, Ill.; and Fort Myers, Fla. This network enables swift deployment and resource-sharing whenever disasters strike, ensuring a consistent standard of care across regions.
